NFL Week 13 Picks

The stretch drive begins now. With the calendar now on December, the NFL now begins its drive to the playoffs. It’s another quick hitter so here are my picks for Week 13.

Atlanta at Houston.

A game that affects both conferences. The Falcons control their own destiny for a wildcard spot in the NFC. The Texans are sitting atop in the AFC South and are going for home field advantage throughout. However the Texans have Jake Delhomme at quarterback now after Matt Leinart went down with a broken collarbone. Yikes. Atlanta wins.

Tennessee at Buffalo.

The Titans still have wildcard aspirations. The Bills are in meltdown mode. Tennessee wins.

Kansas City at Chicago.

The Bears will miss Jay Cutler but if they give the ball to Matt Forte they should be fine. The Chiefs might start Kyle Orton against his old team. No way. Chicago wins.

Oakland at Miami.

Interesting game. The Raiders are in first place in the AFC West and have been playing some good football the last few weeks. The Dolphins have won 3 out of their last 4 and are no pushover. Tough one but I’m taking the Raiders to win this one.

Denver at Minnesota.

Tim Tebow continues to work miracles for the Broncos. The Vikings are just plain awful. Denver wins.

Indianapolis at New England.

The Colts are finishing 0-16. Count on it. New England wins.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh.

Huge game in the AFC North. The Steelers are 8-3. The Bengals are 7-4. The only thing is the Bengals have to prove to me they can beat the Steelers. I’m not sold yet. Pittsburgh wins.

Carolina at Tampa Bay.

Two young teams with eyes on the future. I think Carolina is playing better right now so I’m taking the Panthers to win.

New York Jets at Washington.

There’s something not right with the Jets right now. Yes they won last week but that’s only because of the Bills stupidity. I smell upset here. Washington wins.

Baltimore at Cleveland.

The Old Browns vs the Current Browns. Cleveland is cursed plain and simple. Baltimore wins.

Dallas at Arizona.

This could very well be a trap game for the Cowboys. They barely escaped last week against Miami and have a huge game against the New York Giants at home next week. A road game in Arizona where it will feel like a neutral site with many Cowboy fans expected to make the trek to the desert could make the Cowboys relaxed. Going on a hunch with the help of Crown Royal I’m picking Arizona in an upset!

Green Bay at New York Giants.

The Packers pursuit of perfection continues. The Giants just hope they can keep their season alive. The Giants have won games like this before but I won’t go there. Green Bay wins.

St. Louis at San Francisco.

Even though the 49ers lost last week they’ll still win the NFC West. The Rams are playing to get their coach fired. San Francisco wins.

Detroit at New Orleans.

The Saints are flying high and their high-powered offence shows no signs of slowing down. The Lions will miss Ndamukong Suh who will miss the next 2 games thanks to a suspension. I love the Lions but I’m fearing a collapse is imminent. New Orleans wins.

San Diego at Jacksonville.

Ugh! And it’s a Monday night game no less. This one will be ugly. Next year at this time this will be a battle of Southern California. San Diego wins but I have no idea why.

Last week 14-2. But I’m already 0-1 after foolishly picking the Eagles on Thursday night.

Nice picks. I disagree with the Monday Night one, I think the Chargers slide will continue, but, like you said, I have no idea why.
